CONNECTION DAY BETWEEN STUDENTS FROM THUONG MAI UNIVERSITY AND REPRESENTATIVES FROM LONGHWA UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
On October 4, 2024, the Institute of International Training (IIT) held Connection Day at Hall H2, bringing together students from Thuongmai University’s Chinese programs and representatives from Longhwa University of Science and Technology.
The event was honored by the presence of Dr. Eric Tsen, representative of Longhua University, and Ms. Dang Thu Ha, CEO of Phong Thanh Construction Investment Corporation, an alumna of the joint-training MBA program betweenThuongmai University and Longhwa University. Thuongmai University was represented by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Kieu Trang, Director of IIT; Ms.Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong, Deputy Director of IIT; Dr.Dinh Thi Thu Huong, Deputy Head of the Chinese Faculty; and Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc, Head of the Chinese Language Theory Division.
The program opened with an inspiring speech by Assoc.Prof. Dr.Tran Kieu Trang, who emphasized the importance of international cooperation in higher education and Thuongmai University’s vision to expand global learning opportunities. The event highlighted the strong partnership between Longhua University and Thuongmai University, providing a valuable platform for students to gain insights into studying abroad.
Following this, Dr. Eric Tsen presented an overview of Longhwa University, detailing its history, academic strengths, and modern facilities. He provided valuable information on studying in China, covering areas such as available majors, scholarship options, and job opportunities after graduation.
Dr. Dinh Thi Thu Huong and Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc shared effective strategies for learning Chinese and tips for excelling in proficiency exams. They emphasized the importance of regular practice, creating a language-rich environment, and using technology for language learning. Their insights not only motivated students to overcome language challenges but also equipped them with lifelong learning skills.
Ms. Dang Thu Ha shared her personal experiences and inspired students by discussing her educational journey, the challenges she overcame, and the career growth opportunities provided by the study program.
The Q&A session was lively, with students eagerly asking questions about academic requirements, student life, part-time job opportunities, and career paths post-graduation. Dr. Eric Tsen and faculty members provided detailed answers, offering students a comprehensive view of studying abroad.
