Currently, the university has 19 colleges, 58 regular majors, 2 majors authorized for master's degrees in first-level subjects and 42 majors authorized for master's degrees in second-level subjects, 4 majors authorized for master's degrees in specialized subjects, including 9 subjects: Philosophy, History, Law, Education, Literature, Management, Physics, Engineering, Economics.

Guangxi University for Nationalities currently has 1,184 staff members, including 717 full-time teachers, 130 professors, and 210 associate professors. The excellent teaching staff has contributed to high-quality teaching and has formed a strong scientific research capacity.

The university has enrolled more than 5,500 international students from 28 countries. In the first 6 months of 2010, the school had 768 international students, sending nearly 2,000 students to study abroad in Southeast Asian countries every year.
